Nila Aalia

Nila Aalia is the creator of Synapsing® and the founder of Synapsing® Arts Institute (SAI). She devises and delivers programs that reflect her fascination for human creative potential and her enthusiasm for inter-disciplinary learning.

Nila’s corporate experience includes delivering trainings in diversity, managing change, feedback skills and performance management as well as problem solving, best practice and coaching. She has worked with, amongst others, Morgan Stanley, Royal Bank of Scotland, Goldman Sachs, Vodafone as well as the DVLA, Local Councils, the NHS, Assessment Centers and Cranfield University School of Management. Nila benefits from training in corporate Forum Theatre and Role-play as well as Advanced Facilitation Skills from the U.K. Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

As an actress, Nila has worked in numerous theatre and TV productions including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s West End production of Bombay Dreams, BBC’s Spooks, BBC/HBO Five Days, ITV’s A Touch of Frost and Whitechapel.

Footprints

Born in Africa of Indian-African decent, Nila grew up in England. Her university education took her to Germany (BA English & American Lit.) and the USA where she received her Master of Fine Arts in acting. Nila is an experienced actress, theatre director/researcher, Synapsing® master-trainer and Feldenkrais® practitioner. Her professional life combines her passion for acting, directing, teaching, writing, traveling. She lives in London with her family.
