Originating from the theatre arts, Synapsing® integrates inspirations from the fields of Creativity, Neuroscience and Somatic Education. This unique fusion activates embodied learning. It is a learning that by-passes flip charts and formulas and “walks the talk.” Playful exercises engage both body and mind and reveal multi-layered ways of exploring and knowing. Authentic learning is rapid and results are long-lasting and profound. Participants leave with awareness and development in their bones.

Synapsing® was inspired by the nature and activity of the synapses, junction points in our brain where information is transmitted and received and meaning is created. This fascinating drama occurs against a backdrop of chaotic brain activity, a prerequisite for the meaningful connections we make. Moments of meaning arise when brain cells begin to resonate with each other, when they begin to collaborate and create ensembles, when they begin to play with each other. Sense making is the result of brain jazz! In this process of creating meaning our bodies are essential; we cannot make sense without using our senses. Our bodies are our brains and vice-versa.”
